IATA boosts forecast for airline earnings in 2013

The International Air Transport Association forecast a 20% increase in airline earnings in 2013 as carriers have trimmed capacity to boost load factor. The group predicted carriers will earn $12.7 billion in 2013, compared to a previous forecast of $10.6 billion for the year issued in March.
