Chinese regulators try to improve stock market's image

The China Securities Regulatory Commission indicated that initial public offerings could soon resume by setting a deadline for investor comments on updating rules for listings. The government halted new listings last year after a surge in IPOs the previous two years. Also, the commission and the stock exchanges in Shanghai and Shenzhen are working to clean up the image of markets by targeting corporate embezzlement, share manipulation, insider trading and other illegal strategies.
