CMS seeks state participation in medical home project

The CMS is expecting up to six states to get involved in its first medical home project, called the Multi-payer Advanced Primary Care Practice Demonstration. The three-year initiative will enable public and private providers to collaborate to improve efficiency, quality of care and care coordination for the insured, according to Marilyn Tavenner, the agency's acting administrator.
