Gestational diabetes may raise odds of overactive bladder

Gestational diabetes was associated with a nearly twofold increased risk of overactive bladder in premenopausal women, according to a study in BJOG: An International Journal of Obstetrics and Gynaecology. Data on more than 7,800 female twins showed 19.1% of those who had a history of gestational diabetes developed overactive bladder, compared with 10.7% of women without gestational diabetes.
