The death of Sen. Frank Lautenberg presents N.J. Gov. Chris Christie with a key opportunity to pick his replacement. The governor will be under pressure to name someone capable of retaining Lautenberg's seat in the next election -- a move that might help rehabilitate Christie with the national GOP. "It would be an enormous boost to Christie’s reputation if he names someone who went on to become an elected senator," said N.J. political analyst Carl Golden.
