Museums seek to make math cool

Museums and curators nationwide are doing more to show students that learning math can be fun. New York City's National Museum of Mathematics is one example of this trend in which interactive, hands-on activities highlight math's fun side. The National Council of Teachers of Mathematics has partnered with MoMath for an upcoming campaign for elementary- and middle-school students. "We want them to see the importance of math and its connection to their future opportunities," NCTM President Linda Gojak said.
