Four school districts nationwide, including in Connecticut, Illinois, Nevada and New York City, will participate in a field study to help develop new national teacher assessments tied to the Common Core State Standards. The "Teaching the Core" program, funded by charity, will work to determine whether the Charlotte Danielson's Framework for Teaching evaluation tool can be effectively aligned with the common core. It also will gather free resources that other teachers can use when implementing the assessments, including videos of teachers in the classroom.
