Ala. city council permits restaurants to sell draft beer

The Prattville, Ala., City Council has decided to allow restaurants with an on-premise liquor license to sell draft beer. While some councilors are concerned about the ordinance leading to broader liquor laws in the city, others say letting restaurants sell draft beer will help them compete with eateries in surrounding cities.
