Anxiety is common among cancer survivors, study says

Data from 26 studies showed anxiety is the most common mental health issue for people who have had cancer and their spouses. Researchers from the Leicester Partnership Trust in Leicester, England, found depression among cancer survivors was not significantly different from a control group, but anxiety was more common among the study group. The findings indicate the importance of screening and treating patients for anxiety, experts said.
