South Fla. sees growth in primary care house calls

South Florida is seeing big growth in companies that offer physician house calls for primary care, which are popular among home-bound elderly or chronically ill patients. The visits may be covered by private insurance or Medicare, and My Home Doctor medical director Patrick Kavanagh says insurers contract with the company to help avoid hospital readmissions.
