States and companies take GMO action

Connecticut lawmakers have approved a bill requiring food to label genetically modified organisms, but only if four neighboring states do the same. Meanwhile, Ben & Jerry's says it will eliminate GMO ingredients by the end of 2014. Monsanto has told a German newspaper that it "won't be pursuing licenses for any new genetically modified plants or doing any new field trials of GMO seeds in most parts of Western Europe."
