ARM president envisions computing tech's future

Simon Segars, the president of ARM Holdings who will take over as CEO of the IC design company next month, plans to continue ARM's strategy of providing low-power chip designs for a widening set of applications in computing and communications, Stacey Higginbotham writes. "This is what Segars sees for the future of ARM: More devices with computing and connectivity trying to share data on a variety of networks," she writes, adding, "You can call it the Internet of Things or just the obvious direction we're heading as a technology-inclined society."
