Survey: Mobile a key factor in consumer shopping

Almost half of U.S. consumers surveyed said they wouldn't return to a brand's website on their mobile devices if those sites weren't optimized for mobile. This is significant in light of the fact that 85% of consumers shop and search via mobile, according to a Kentico Software survey, and MMA data show $1 in mobile marketing spending can reap $20 in returns. "If [companies'] sites aren't mobile-friendly, people who are out and about will forge new brand relationships with competitors and they'll take these relationships back home with them to their computers," said Kentico CEO Petr Palas.
