U.S. Federal Reserve survey paints picture of weak growth

Eleven out of 12 U.S. Federal Reserve districts reported "modest to moderate" economic growth from April through late May. But the Fed's latest Beige Book survey did not reveal the kind of robust growth that Fed officials have indicated is necessary before the central bank scales back its bond buying.
