Federal grants to boost medical educators roll out

Federal officials have announced the first in a series of grants designed to boost the number of health care instructors. The $1.1 million grant, to be used to train new nursing instructors and mentors, comes at a time when a shortage of nursing instructors has left thousands of people unable to get their degrees and move into nursing careers.
