The horror film "The Purge" has garnered more than 170,000 Twitter mentions via a viral social media campaign focused on the film's simple premise, about a dystopian future society where the state allows all crimes to go unpunished for one night. Twitter users are talking using the hashtag "SurviveTheNight," and the movie already has more than 555,000 "likes" on Facebook. It enters theaters today.
