FDA: Seven doctors banned from clinical trials this year

The FDA has barred seven researchers from taking part in clinical studies of drugs and medical devices so far this year, according to documents posted on the agency's Web site. The disqualifications have increased in the past three years amid criticism from lawmakers about delays in disciplinary action. "We've established new timelines for disqualifications, and we are in the process of adding additional staff," an FDA spokesman said.
