N.C. firm to install a 500-kilowatt solar array atop fabric plant

Argand Energy Solutions, based in Charlotte, N.C., plans to install a solar energy system atop a 175,000-square-foot fabric facility in Norlina, N.C. The $3 million project entails installation of a reflective roof that will boost the energy generated by solar panels. The entire installation is expected to produce 500 kilowatts, though electricity for about 70 houses.
