Fla. reading, math scores show mixed, mostly flat performance

Results of Florida's FCAT standardized test scores showed an overall "flat" performance with scores reading ticking up in some grades but dropping in other grades, and math scores dropping in all grades except fourth grade. State Education Commissioner Tony Bennett called the performance "unacceptable" but said the switch to Common Core State Standards and more challenging state tests in 2014-15 will lead to improvement.
