Study: Traditional asset classes are growing in correlation

The correlation among traditional asset classes has grown over the past five years, and most fund managers cite this as one of their leading risk factors, according to a study by CRISIL Global Research & Analytics. "Our survey shows a structural uptrend in correlation with low possibility of returning to historical levels, supported by globalization and financialization of assets," said V Srinivasan, a senior director at CRISIL.
