Success in mobile games is still elusive for big publishers

Small, nimble studios continue to dominate the market for mobile games, while the big, established game publishers have found it difficult to succeed in that segment, these analyses note. Zynga's 2012 acquisition of OMGPOP, which developed the once-popular "Draw Something" game, ultimately became a bust for Zynga as the game lost players, leading the company to close the OMGPOP studio in New York last week.
