UN works to restore peacekeeper strength in Golan Heights

The United Nations Security Council is talking with member nations as it attempts to replace the outgoing Austrian troops in the Golan Heights peacekeeping contingent. Russia has offered to send forces, but the 1974 Israel-Syria truce prohibits members of the Security Council from serving as peacekeepers in the area.
