Wis. lawmakers reject federal Medicaid expansion

The Wisconsin Legislature's Joint Finance Committee voted against expanding eligibility for the state's Medicaid program. The committee instead endorsed a proposal by Republican Gov. Scott Walker that will send people to the new health insurance exchanges but remove a program cap for childless adults, which is expected to extend coverage.
