Lululemon's marketing efforts include getting to know the fitness and yoga players in advance of opening in new markets, creating brand ambassadors for the retailer's yoga and workout apparel. "It's a way that we can enter into a community and get to know a community before we open a store. It's a store opening strategy," said spokeswoman Jennifer Neziol.
