Airbus tests smart luggage with location tracking features

Airbus is at work on a prototype for smart luggage called Bag2Go that contains an RFID chip for real-time GPS tracking throughout a journey. The sensors integrate with a "Find My Bag" iPhone application to allow travelers to see where their bags are at each step of the way. Airbus is still working on a business model for the smart luggage, which might incorporate with regular airport bag check systems or use a courier to ship bags from door to door.
