Amazon brings grocery service to Los Angeles, updates apps

Amazon's online and mobile system for ordering groceries has been expanded from the Seattle test market to Los Angeles. San Francisco will be added this year, and 20 other cities are expected to be on the system next year, Chantal Tode writes. The free, same-day delivery service to select ZIP codes will cost $299 a year after the trial offers expire. In addition, the company revamped its AmazonFresh iOS and Android applications.
