Farm bill heads for House after Senate approval

The Senate approved a farm bill that would trim the food stamp budget and require farmers with incomes above $750,000 to pay more for taxpayer-subsidized crop insurance. The bill now heads for the House, which failed to approve a farm bill last year, leaving the 2008 measure in place through Sept. 30 of this year.
