Researchers identify possible way to prevent PTSD

The administration of a drug to trigger the nociceptin receptor in the brain may help prevent PTSD, according to the results of a new study published in the journal Science Translational Medicine. An estimated 20% of U.S. troops returning from Iraq and Afghanistan in recent years are believed to have PTSD.
