Study: Bright light therapy helps treat mild TBI

Bright light therapy may help improve sleep, mood and cognitive performance in individuals with mild TBI, according to the results of a new study presented at a recent sleep society meeting. The study involved 18 adults who had experienced at least one mild traumatic brain injury. About 50% of TBI patients experience sleep pattern disturbances, which adds to their suffering, researchers said.
