Study compares laser treatments for facial erythema

A 595-nanometer pulsed dye laser cleared facial redness better than a 1,064-nm neodymium:yttrium-aluminum-garnet laser in a split-face study of 14 patients with facial erythema. Patients reported less pain on the side treated with the Nd:YAG laser.
