Trent Reznor of Nine Inch Nails, known for engaging with fans online, is quitting Twitter. His take on the social-networking experiment, revealed in a sprawling forum post, is that, "Idiots rule." Stephanie Meyer, author of the popular "Twilight" vampire books, left MySpace because she was sick of online impersonators. This raises the question: Can stars use social media like regular people?
