2 Ohio districts use grant to fund summer, after-school reading interventions

Two Ohio school districts will offer two weeks of summer reading intervention and a month of after-school lessons for K-3 struggling readers, thanks to a one-time, $250,000 from the U.S. Department of Education. The teachers running the programs also received 14 hours of professional development on reading strategies and will meet at the end of each day to collaborate on the next day's lessons.
