AHIMA apprenticeship guidelines aim to meet demands for HIM pros

The Department of Labor has certified AHIMA's National Guidelines for Apprenticeship Standards, which AHIMA CEO Lynne Thomas Gordon says will help fill the industry's need for well-trained health information management and technology experts. The standards' certification will help close the gap between employers and graduating or post-certification students looking for HIM jobs through paid apprenticeships.
