First-ever double leg transplant patient loses legs in unrelated illness

Surgeons in Spain have amputated the legs of the first person to receive a double leg transplant. The man, whose transplant surgery was in July 2011, had been forced to halt his anti-rejection drugs because they were interfering with treatment of an unrelated illness.
