Frozen fruit may be healthiest choice, dietitian says

The nutritional value of fruit is affected by processing, so registered dietitian Tanya Zuckerbrot says to read labels to find any added sugar in canned varieties and to be sure juices contain 100% fruit juice. She writes that frozen fruit may be the healthiest, because it is frozen at its nutritional peak, unlike fresh produce, which is picked and shipped to stores before it is fully ripe.
