Global economic uncertainty still slows M&A deal flow

Executives are slowly losing their reluctance to spend some of the record amount of cash on hand. Despite favorable conditions for mergers and acquisitions, respondents in two surveys say they are most likely to stick with an existing plan, rather than spend more cash on deals in 2013. Also, insiders say boardroom talk about deals has not translated to action in the marketplace.
