MNsure call center to begin operations Sept. 3

MNsure, Minnesota's health insurance exchange, will open its call center Sept. 3 to help inform and prepare consumers for open enrollment in October, exchange officials announced. The call center aims to resolve questions on the first try without having to transfer callers to another representative and to limit the time consumers spend on hold, MNsure Executive Director April Todd-Malmlov said. The role of in-person "navigators" will be limited to providing impartial information, leaving recommendations for specific policies to licensed brokers and agents, Todd-Malmlov said.
