New Zealand to study cause for decline in older students' grades

New Zealand's Education Minister Hekia Parata has asked an advisory panel to offer advice on how to stop a decline in the achievement of older students after recent scores showed a drop-off in years 5 through 8. Educators, however, say they believe the data is not cause for alarm but rather exposes flaws with the National Standards.
