Post-surgical chronic pain is a hot topic for researchers

Post-surgical chronic pain is a popular research topic, but there have not yet been any treatment breakthroughs and experts say it may not have a single solution. Dr. Timothy Brennan at the University of Iowa said multiple issues are associated with chronic pain, possibly including issues of quality of life and functional reductions.
