Standoff over expansion could shut down Miss. Medicaid program

Mississippi's entire Medicaid program is set to expire July 1 after lawmakers adjourned in April without approving the program's budget. The Mississippi Medicaid program has 700,000 enrollees, and a potential 300,000 more would be eligible if the state expands its program under the Affordable Care Act.
