Survey: Doctors, nurses willing to help stop elder financial abuse

About 8 in 10 medical professionals said they would be willing to refer an elderly patient suspected of being the victim of financial abuse to the authorities or to someone who could assist with financial matters, according to a survey. A similar number responded that they would work to stop the financial exploitation of elderly patients if they were taught to catch and report such activity, the survey found.
