Digital-currency firm is charged in $6B money-laundering scheme

Costa Rican digital-currency firm Liberty Reserve and seven principals and employees have been accused of operating an unlicensed money-transmitting business, to the tune of at least $6 billion, according to the U.S. Department of Justice. The company has been accused of laundering proceeds of global crime.
