EU rule lifts radiation-exposure restrictions on MRI use

The European Parliament has exempted the MRI sector from a new rule that limits the amount of electromagnetic radiation exposure allowed for EU workers. The exemption is meant to prevent interruptions in the use of MRI devices for medical purposes. Member states are required to enact the directive by July 1, 2016.
