Hospices need resources to help transgender patients, doctor says

Transgender patients may be difficult to place in long-term care because of how facilities may view their gender status, and they can feel socially isolated, Dr. Robert Killeen writes in GeriPal. He said transgender patients are a vulnerable population that have difficulty finding and affording care and that hospices need more resources to help them.
