Uniform fiduciary standard unlikely, says consumer group chief

A single fiduciary standard for investment advisers and broker-dealers is looking unlikely, said Barbara Roper, director of investor protection for the Consumer Federation of America, at a conference this week. The Securities and Exchange Commission is accepting comments on a cost-benefit analysis of a uniform standard through July 5.
