Cablevision to acquire Bresnan in $1.37 billion deal

In a deal announced today, New York's Cablevision Systems will buy Bresnan Communications for $1.37 billion from Providence Equity Partners. The acquisition will expand the New York-based cable provider's footprint into the western U.S. Bresnan has more than 300,000 customers in Colorado, Montana, Wyoming and Utah.
