Playtime promotes physical, social and mental health in pets

Data from the American Pet Products Association show that 62% of canine owners and 52% of feline owners in the U.S. buy toys for their pets, and experts say that giving pets some playtime offers a number of benefits for the animals such as promoting their cardiovascular health and allowing them to hone mental and social skills. "Owners definitely should play with their pets because it's important for bonding. It also gives pets the sensory stimulation they need at any age," one veterinarian said.
