Analysis: DOD will keep pushing to reduce infrastructure

The 2014 defense authorization bill will almost certainly include language barring the Defense Department from initiating another round of base realignment and closure, but DOD officials will likely continue their efforts to shed excess infrastructure, Jared Serbu writes. The DOD is focusing on shuttering overseas facilities, a process that doesn't require congressional approval.
