CDC study maps U.S. fresh produce consumption by state

Consumers in California, Oregon and New Hampshire, where farmers markets are plentiful, eat more fresh vegetables than people in the other U.S. states, according to the State Indicator Report on Fruits and Vegetables from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. Overall, consumers on the coasts consumed more fresh fruits and vegetables than their counterparts in the middle of the country.
