Fla. offers STEM camps to children in foster care

The Florida Department of Children and Families kicked off its summer Camps for Champions this week, where children in foster care can participate in hands-on projects in robotics and other science, technology, engineering and math topics. "Many foster children don't have the same opportunities to travel and learn new activities like their peers do," said former NFL star Derrick Brooks, who helped launch the camps this week in St. Petersburg, Fla.
